UV light is known to kill bacteria, fungi and viruses.

UV Disinfection Case by Ewins
Ewins developed a simple yet effective UV disinfection case with TUV T8 lamps – double-ended UV-C (germicidal) lamps used in professional water and air disinfection units. The case serves as a device to sanitise all items which we bring home, or personal protective equipment and devices used in medical environments such as hospitals, clinics and isolation facilities. The interior surface is finished with aluminium foil sheet so that UV-C light is reflected to enhance its germicidal activity.

In a medical facility, it is highly functional for users: the case comes with hooks for masks, a hanging rod for a blood pressure cuff and two slots at the bottom for devices such as laptops, tablets, monitors and keyboards. The case comes with castors for easy relocation within hopsitals or clinics. In a home setting, the case can be placed near the entrance, and used to disinfect personal items such as handbags, briefcases, shoes, accessories and other items right after the user enters his or her home. The case can also be used for disinfecting items that may have become contaminated during use, and before they are disposed.

Usage instruction:

1. Place items to disinfect in the case. It is recommended to have the items hung with all surfaces exposed to ensure that the entire item can be thoroughly disinfected.
2. Close the lid and switch power ON. Disinfection period: 15 minutes.
3. Switch power OFF and leave items within the case for 15 minutes before opening the lid. Total cycle duration: 30 mins.
4. Remove items from case and items are ready for use.
